What’s even more impressive? The original version of Grow a Garden was created in just three days by a 16-year-old developer. Janzen “Jandel” Madsen’s Splitting Point Studios acquired it in April when it only had about 2,000 players. Now, it’s a global phenomenon.

But it’s not just the farming mechanics that keep users hooked. The game features live in-game drops, meaning players need to be online to collect rare items, fruits, or animals. This keeps engagement high and users returning often. There’s also a robust virtual economy, where items can be traded or bought with Robux—and yes, even sold unofficially for real money on platforms like eBay and Discord.
